no it has nothing to do with Java. Java came as a popular language it sounds a bit interesting in computers and it just used it's name in the language. it's original name is ecma script. by the way Java has nothing to do with Java too as Java is name of a famous Asian place as Aditya said an island in Indonasia but to have a good interesting name its changed it name from oak named after a oak tree to Java. they called it hotjava. well it has similarity with c c++ Java in the language.
