Implementation of Mathematics in Programming

Do we have to be very good in Maths to become expert programmer.? As I am quite mediocre in Maths, so sometimes it makes me afraid would I be able to become a good programmer. So plz tell me how much of the maths is necessary for coding??

If you ask me, basic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) and maybe a bit of algebra will help. For the most part you can use a calculator, though. You don't really need very advanced math (though it will help). 😉

The basics of maths will do,you also need to be good at some geometric progression and sequences but the Math you use in your program depends on the program itself soo you don't really have to be a Maths guru!!

If you want to be an Back-End Engineer Programmer in the Intel or in the AMD for example, you need to understand linear algebra anyway. But if you just want to be a programmer in a small company you'll need a math basics. So If you think that you have a problems in Algebra just because you don't understand it in school - it's okay. You should learn algebra yourself and I promise that you will understand it easily!

Whether or not you need strong mathematical skills depends on the project you are working on. Being an expert programmer is very broad, there are many fields of programming, some are more biased to math, some not as much.
