How the first ever computer was created?

I can't figured out how this happened, even discussed with my small team and didn't get any possibilities, the computers we know today was operated by sequence of code even the os and basic console. Now here's the problem, a computer can't do any calculation if there wasn't any code inside it. and it won't even boot up because nothing can be executed. And a code itself developed inside computer that already had code run inside it. How they made first ever functionable computer?

computers can't calculate without a piece of code but what is code? it is just instructions-what to do. early computers were programmed using machine language. Earlier unlike today punch cards were used so they wrote instructions, punch cards accordingly & run them. Now once you have that you can program a compiler which can convert some text/code into real instructions. So the first thing that scientists done was to make a basic low level compiler, once you have that you can use it to climb the ladder.

Wow, thanks for answering, i can imagine how it works out, thanks! :) already searched for analog computer and machine language, and that altair8080 was awesome that looks like power generator in my home😂 with that switch! Programming is fun though no matter how hard it is
