any software uses ram when it runs.
orwhile don't.
how much codes or bits [0,1] are insied that much ram will used.
games use so much ram cause it've very big source code and hevy graphics data.

They are stored on your rom (hard drive).
Every app that run on your phone, uses some Ram when it run.
Once you terminate it, the Ram is free for other uses.
