What is the most influential book you have read to assist in your journey as a developer?

I know this is a pretty generic question. I'm sure you have many. I just want the first one that comes to your mind, and it doesn't even have to be a "programming" book. For all I know, a completely unrelated genre shined light on some subjects that really influenced you as a programmer/developer. I already have a large reading list compiled, but I'm curious to hear if anyone has a favorite that isn't on a "must read list for programmers"...diamonds in the rough.

the news.ycombinator item might be the most relevant item in relation to your question. I just dump this info wherever people ask about ressources, I hadn't finished reading your question.

@Mason Neville If you have a "cut and paste" answer ready might as well use it. :)
