There are other Internet resource to use after completing this course to move forward. Other courses here will only give the basics of those languages. Having the basics in multiple languages doesn't teach becoming a great programmer. However, making use of the wisdom available on the Internet can. Knowing one language well is more important than knowing the basics of many. Because I knew my first language well, I can understand code in languages I haven't learned as yet, not to mention my first programming attempt in a language shows off my experience.

I came here knowing over 60 languages (most aren't used any more). I wanted to learn Java. I'm still learning Java classes as it is very different from the C++ I know. I've since fell in love with JavaScript.

Definitely! However, it does require hard work on your part. This is a good place to practice coding and getting help with issues in testing your code. You need to perform searches here and on Internet to learn beyond the class. Read people's code to learn new methods of doing things.

I've programmed in C++ for decades. It is an excellent language. You can write anything in it including operating systems and device drivers. Most things you learn in it can quickly turned into knowledge of other languages.

Yes. However, here your input is limited. You will need to have a decent development system to really excel.

I've never used it, but I've heard it supports non-standard C++. Try to stay with things you know to be standard. I use this site: http://www.cplusplus.com/doc/
