I do everything school related early, then when I have free time I just code. Coding is chilling for me too. It's a matter of sacrifices especially if you work. I stopped watching TV as well. Now you don't have to be sitting at home to code. You got a phone - lots of things you can do with your phone; you can write down high level ideas, concepts or design; you can go to school workshops; or take programming classes.

Well, I have Computer Science classes so technically my school time encompasses my coding time. 😉 But mostly, you should find a balance that suits you well. If you are good at schoolwork and like coding, then good for you; you get more time for coding. But if you are bad at schoolwork, then I think that maybe you should focus on your schoolwork. But never give up on coding! Personally I code when I'm free or when I'm bored. It helps to stimulate the mind and fills the time. And it is fun. That's about all you need, really. Just never give up your schoolwork and never stop coding.
