Both are different color models as HSL used the Hue/Saturation/Lighness triplet in percentage while RGB used Red/Green/Blue to indicate the color intensity in byte.
On the other hand the a in both models represent the alpha value which indicates the amount of transparency.

HSLA stands for hue saturation and lightness and alpha. In RGB colors, we cannot change saturation and lightness of color, but in HSLA, we can change.
