Why we should learn programming?

for the same reason you should learn science: so you know how the world works. society heavily relies on technology, yet the majority barely understand it at all. they're swimming in the middle of the ocean with no idea what's under them.

yes...your answer is really good, why i ask like that...because when i learn programming and i frustating i will give up for a while..but your answer can inspiring me to learn and learn again and i always remember that...thanks guys
