How to improve our ability in programming?

I keep learn and read and do some excercise. But I don't see too much improvement.

just keep practice and code and everything comes to it's place. Beginning is always hard...

PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE and put your skills to the test in competition. There are many sites out there to do that for example use Github to out your projects.

Then there is Hackerrank and Codeforces to name a few where you can challenge the world in daily contest.
