I want to create the most efficient Artificial Intelligence.. Comment your advice

making an AI is exponentially difficult to how cool you want it to be.

a dumb chat bot is easy, look for patterns in text and send back baked answers.
want an AI girlfriend? well... maybe like a few terabytes of information and a small library's(real one's) worth of code.

an AI that plays checkers? that's simple, you can even precalculate every outcome to win.
an AI that plays Go? even Google doesn't understand what the hell it does.

so i suppose stick with an AI that can play Pong? :D

Make the AI consider every possible situation that can come up and have it respond accordingly to every possible outcome. This may be difficult to pull off depending on what you're making the AI for.
