I still feel so inexperienced and "stupid" when it comes to coding. Am i the only one?

i've been trying coding for a while now (still not able to create anything on my own from scratch) and i a extremely excited about it all. the thing is, even though i've been going at this for a couple of wks now and have even completed HTML fundamentals... i still feel like i'm stuck at the 'unsure' level... is this normal ot am i the only one that has this insecurity..?

I've written and published an indie game and I feel inept. Most people lack confidence, it stops us becoming arrogant twats. Humility is priceless. Also: Dis' goed om nog 'n Suid Afrikaner op SL te sien :D

Glad u r keeping with it!! Start small. Learn one new thing daily. Try to put it together. Also try modifying others code to learn (but don’t post it unless you ask the author in SoloLearn). Many programming jobs require to take pre-written code and modify (add features, change behavior, etc) which means you have to understand how the code works. Read read and read related internet articles on what you are trying to do. If you want to strengthen html, css, and JavaScript learn how they work together see w3 schools website https://www.w3schools.com. We all feel ‘stupid ‘ at times but guess what, you’re smart for being a SoloLearner!

Everybody feel so when they start coding. So, you are not alone. We all are with you.

I can safely say I felt and often find myself feeling "stupid" especially when I look through some of the codes on here and see how much more competent and more importantly confident other coders are. I think I've heard the term 'imposter syndrome" used to label that feeling of inadequacy that shadows us, even as we rise the ranks as professional developers. often we tend to compare ourselves and our efforts to others, the trick is not to get bogged down in the differences between content and quality. we all have our own style and we all have our own concept of standards to play to.
