I found this interesting article comparing the wishes of developers and employers

Web development still seems to be hot and employers need people with JS skills, while developers just love Python. https://www.infoworld.com/article/3251506/it-careers/employers-want-javascript-but-developers-want-python.amp.html Do you think this will change any time soon? Which languages do you know well enough to get paid for and what kind of developer job, if any, do you want? Looking forward to hear from you, let's do our own little survey here. :)

I'll make the start here: Python is my favourite and my strongest language by a big margin. Yet, I work part time as a PHP-developer and I love that job. Which is funny, because I still hate PHP with a passion.

@Chloe I probably hate Python more than you hate PHP, hope I don’t end up working with it 😰.

@Jacob Pembleton LOL @Chloe I like Python and Ruby, but my world is much more geared toward SQL, C#, VB.net, and possibly COBOL 🤮 C# with LINQPad is livable. Python has problems, but the simple syntax can be so comfortable. The solutions with lambdas and such not so much 🤨 SQL is my strongest, but I want to get back to other types of programs that are not always database queries.
