How much time needed to became a professional in programming?

I started coding at the age of 18 but it was my dream to crack application build sofware and even hacking too .From the very beginning when i bought my first pc that was windows xp and running atom processor with 500mb ram this was my first experience with a computer to deal with i had so many dreams and i always wanted know system 32 further and searching testing for every file located in that part of directory..... i think that every geeky freak was the same as i were before.... sorry for my poor english

First of all, your grammar was fine, so don't worry about it ;) Second, becoming a professional programmer could take any amount of time, it really depends on how committed you are and how well you understand coding. That being said, becoming a professional at anything is not easy. What I would suggest is just to practice a ton and try to take several courses, either online or through school (or some other third option). Try to meet people who also code so that you can discuss certain things and maybe even start some large projects. Good luck and happy coding! d:
