If we assume that Peter will laugh the entire time that Jack is asleep, then the appropriate conclusion would be that Jack is not asleep. Nothing can be concluded about Jill, as there may be other things that make Jill cry.

The real answer is a: Jack is not sleeping but Jill is crying. This question I've found in a programming test and I know for sure that the answer is a but I want to know why
