Buying server / Domain name?
I was googling but confused, if I buy a domain from a host won't I get a server with it to work? or do I have to buy a droplet from digital ocean?

Typically you would buy a domain and also buy a hosting package. For example 123-reg sells a variety of hosting packages from shared hosting to virtual private servers. Your domain would then point to one of these packages.
Same for digital ocean, you could deploy a droplet with a basic LAMPP stack and then point your domain to that within your domain providers DNS settings. This way you would be running a virtual private server with a domain pointing to it from else where. You have more control with a VPS over packages like 123-reg shared hosting.
If you buy a domain, then thats what you get. You always needs to buy hosting separately unless you use one of the 123-reg hosting packages where you often get a couple of free domains with it and then handle the pointing of the domain for you.
