All about a hrefs and text decoration -- removing link's blue colour and underline

I want the link's word to be in yellow colour, I have used CSS styles like text-decoration and colour, then also it is not working, how to make it done.

You need to reference the anchor tag, not the body :)

a {
color: yellow;
text-decoration: none;
}

you can do it more specific, for example to turn the text orange when clicked:
a:link {
color: yellow;
text-decoration: none;
}
a:visited {
color: orange;
text-decoration: none;
}
this can be helpfull, but it is just an extra
