How do I make games with Ruby??

my friend wanted me to help them make a game through RPGMaker VX Ace, and apparently to change any default sprites, etc., you use Ruby. much like Python, I completed the course but don't know how to apply what I learned. Help please?

well, you know the language, now you have to learn the framework (in this case RPGMaker). You need to learn the tools that RPGM provoides, where you can apply ruby. They are ruby at middle level (I think ots JavaScript, but I might be wrong), but its managed with interfaces
