What is a strong text? And what is the difference between bold and stong text

First, strong is a new tag introduced in HTML5. It is not a replacement for bold though. See, strong is text formatting, which means you want the text to be given strong importance.
Bold is a text style, which means the text should be displayed in bold, without giving any logic to its use.
If you're using strong you can style the text too, and as per your choice.
