How can I add a background image?

I have used the the attribute background but it does not show anything. I have put the image name,.....do I have to describe its path also?
To add a background image in my code is not working in this application.

SL Playground works with full paths. If you want to add images from your local storage, you have to upload them to image hosting and then use that link.
