I'm looking for some help converting a keyboard based game to mobile. Anyone have any suggestions?

I wrote a classic snake style game. But so far it only will work on a PC with a keyboard. I'd like to alter it so it will work on Android as well. Preferably using directional swipes, as opposed to any onscreen buttons. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
