Why php?

Question

Can anybody tell me why we have to learn php,is it trending in 2018, what are the oppurtunities if so and is there any other language that has overthrown php...waiting for the answers😄

php has been around for a while. It's not "trending" now. It has made itself the defacto script language of the web alongside Javascript. php is pretty easy to learn, very powerful, open source (free), easily connects with a variety of databases. Because it runs server side and before anything else is parsed it can be used to generate html, css, and Javascript dynamically with great ease.

As of right now over 80% of all web traffic is generated by php pages according to various metric sites. No, there isn't another language that has overthrown it. Nor does there appear to be any that can replace it any time soon.
