What are the benefits of showing a child how to use Scratch?

Scratch is the only one that children can use?

Scratch uses “block programming”, so children learn the thinking and process behind programming in a more simple, understandable way. I believe there is also a function for them to see the actual coding as well. It makes the transition into learning programming at a young age easier.

it's simple and teaches coding concepts it how I learned. I'd say it's great for kids

I was introduced to it a year ago, and I have been inspired to go on and learn more complicated programming languages, such as C++, Web design, And Python, all because of scratch! (p.s I'm only 10)
