How do I align images to the centre?

PLZ HELP! I used the align attribute on my image with HTML, but I can't align it to the centre! align="left" and align="right" worked but align="center" doesn't work...Is it my text editor? My OS? My COMPUTER??? OK, that's a little too far...but seriously, plz halp

Remove align and float and give it
margin: 0 auto.

alternatively you can put your image into a <p> element and align its content to the center.
