C++ or C#?

Question

Greetings everyone, I am new to coding (and as well new on SoloLearn) and I have recently decided to go for a programming course in a nearby college next year. For the coming year I want to learn the very basics of coding, at least I want to know what I'll be doing. The thing is, I bought a book for learning the C language; apparently learning it will make it easier to learn any other languages afterwards. C isn't available (yet??) here on SL, should I try C++ or C# here?

C# in my humble opinion, but ALOT of people like C++ for the control it offers on things like memory management.

rudolph flash after trying both, I found you were absolutely right. C++ is easier than CSharp for the reasons you mentioned. I hope it will answer this question for others :)
