Is jQuery still relevant today?
During my journey to being a Web Developer I have noticed a lot of jobs not focusing their attention to jQuery but more towards C#, JavaScript, Python, etc. So it leads to the the question of is jQuery even worth the effort to take the time and practice anymore?

jQuery is a very relevant Javascript library. Personally, I lump it in with Javascript and think of them as one in the same. So is it worth the effort and time to learn it? I'd say as much as it is to learn vanilla Javascript, considering that jQuery does all of the same things as JS but usually more efficiently or in a shorter way.
Yes, it's worth learning and practicing.

good advice, I think it's a smart idea to group vanilla JavaScript with jQuery cause like you said they are essentially the same thing. and can be useful to keep as a tool to use

jQuery is one of the most popular and widely used libraries ever. Learn it definitely. It isn't a language so companies won't focus on it. But as it is a library for JavaScript it something that makes JavaScript so much easier and more powerful.

if the early limitations of JQuery were due to its weight, the improvements in bandwidth in recent years made such limitations neglectable.
