Discussion about the SoloLearn update 2.2 on May 20th
Is it me or with this new latest update sololearn is becoming more of a social media platform? similar to like Facebook and Twitter and whatnot? With the previous update we were able to create statuses directly to our feeds and now with this update from today, you are able to attach photos from your gallery or even from your camera too said statuses. In addition, you are able to select a background to fit your mood while you write your status honestly the only thing I see beneficial from this update; is the added security patches to the known bugs and quality of life improvements. I'm sure the discovery option in the learn section will come in handy as well not just for myself but for new members as well as old. Ace: Off-topic tag removed

Well i dont think thats the direction sololearn wants to head. But when you come to think of it,this feature has a tendency of being "the most abused feature on sololearn".if youre following sololearn, the images they upload are always related to the content they share. That being said, somepeople are not sololearn,i see more hardwork from the mods, theyll start having to pull down selfies and crap like that....
All in all, lets enjoy the moment and hope for the best

Still don’t even have feed posts. But the good thing is, we’ve still got no ads!

the every people in the app want to celebrate their achievements so you don't think if they offer a separate place for that with awesome update of posts
but learning is still on on Q/A section so it's better than any social media like facebook

「HAPPY TO HELP」 Yes that is exactly where I'm trying to get at when the status feature was implemented it clearly stated share anything coding. I mean I suppose if people are using this feature correctly it could be used for screenshots of code but I seriously doubt it and I just don't want anyting to go awry with this feature. I am already seeing the worst with being able to post photos. I joined about 4 months ago and most of the features were already established from the old model. I have no problem with following. In fact, I find it to be very helpful when it comes to people you admire in coding. Mohit the coder (M.S.D) If SoloLearn implements an algorithm in which you are able to be rewarded such as COTD for a status update; I am sorry but the developers have lost all respect from me.

We don’t even have photos yet, though, from what I’ve heard, people are using it only to post memes. 😕

Android update for June 22nd, 2018 includes a new what's hot filter for your feed and now announcing the country in which you reside from under the skills tab. I actually find completely pointless because right above it states your rank for the country you already reside in... also any known bugs and inconveniences have been resolved with this quality of life Improvement.

I am honestly not sure if this current update is from yesterday or today but I find it quite interesting the update includes sololearn Pro which seems to be a paid service to remove ads like any other free application you find on mobile devices nowadays it also has the ability to create custom goals for yourself and view daily reports that are pretty much your stats I'm assuming. I don't know why this is included with the update but you are able to view anybody who is currently coating within your location minded if you have GPS enabled on your phone and with an added bonus of being able to view how many people around the world view your profile daily. I know personally I haven't been completely active as I once was over the summer but it would be nice to know hey with a possible daily log in I think I could get one or two views a day which would be awesome if that was real.

I'm still not certain if the exploit of using a VPN the ads will not appear on sololearn but still to this day I have not encountered an ad on my account but I see a lot of people posting photographs of ads and now with this sololearn Pro subscription to eliminate the ads I'm not sure if the exploit will still work.

well this seems to be pretty awesome I did not know I received two views this week considering that today is the last day of the week but I am highly disappointed that there's nobody using sololearn around me... seems very depressing if you ask me and wow without even trying because I'm not fully active I happen to be ranked number 2 in Puerto Rico this month it would be awesome if I can get the number one spot again for the 8th month in a row. also does anybody know what the default daily goal is because I haven't set one yet ... yet it is claiming that I'm already 48% completed with my daily goal. https://www.sololearn.com/post/26881/?ref=app

I find this interesting how some MODs are promoting unsafe links (according to my AT&T internet provider) and sharing memes? This update is going to being so many problems that could have been avoided if it wasn't implemented in the first place. I comprehend the intention but I just don't want any issues with people mistaking this for something else.

Today's update includes the following... a new filter that involves today's hottest posts in both the code playground and the discussion boards; I actually really enjoy this new feature. As well as you are now able to zoom in on photographs; which I still find completely pointless. Because everybody's utilizing it for memes. Finally, whatever known bugs have now been fixed and are now quality of life improvements. What do yoi guys think about it?
