wer there HTML 4 ,3,2 Was ther before HTML 5 ??

Yes.... There was HTML 4 3 2.... A lot has been modified from Html 4 to Html 5.... including new tags like <article>, <aside>, <meta>,<audio>,<video> & many more.....

Such tags helped a lot in narrowing down the scope of tags.... resolving the confusion created due to multiple use of <p> & <div>.......

yes. html 5 was created in 2012. before this we were using html 4 which was created in 1999. also in 1995 html 3 was created and in 1992 and 1991 html 2.1 and html 2 were created.
