Ruby or Ruby on rails

I have no idea which I should go for, some one told that learning the ruby on rails framework is easier than starting with ruby fundamentals. Please help

Ruby on Rails is a Web Framework for developing Web Applications....

You can start with the Learn Ruby app by Sololearn.... And once you are done with it... you can use Ruby on Rails alongwith Html,Css and JavaScript to create Web Applications...... :)

Personally I think learning Ruby basics first pays way more.

Ruby - it's just language, but for success need to use many instruments like frameworks too. RoR & Gems (like plugins for your app) = great components for developers.
