Is differential and integral calculus important for an IT student?

Great question @Himanshu..... Indeed it has remained as a huge question in the minds of CSE and IT students whether there is a need for us to learn Differentiation and Integration....

Well the answer is not much in regular business.... but you might require them when you have to develop an application or software that runs on them....

There are some topics that often come in use..... Like Mathematical Modelling from Differential Equations.... where we build a Differential equation for solving a real life problem and then we use this equation for analyzing the best solution.......

But you dont require to run these complicated operatiins for Differentiation and Integration from scratch...... OpenSrc projects like SYMPY have made live easy on working with complex maths.....

So overall... there is not much need... but as you know its not possible to change curriculum in Indian Colleges so easily.... :)
