You can if you want to. But it will also require a good understanding of math. For me, programming helped me with learning algorithms, so it's a step you can decide to take.

Starting off learning programming. Then as you become more advanced, you understand things better.

I for example thought up all my algorithms and ways of doing things from programming just alone. Before I even knew algorithms existed. But looking back on the algorithms now, they either confirm what I know, or show me an easier or more efficient way of doing things.

yes I am ...but someone told me that (it is wrong to learn programming first....and there are many things in programming i will not be able ti do it unless i learn algorithm)
