Anyone have experience making a webRTC application from scratch?

Question

I'm suppose to apply webRTC to my Final Year Project in my school, however I'm quite lost as to how do I send Video and Audio across to another computer and vice versa, and to request and make calls with a click of a button. Currently I'm picking up Javascript and HTML but I have no idea how to apply them

you have to setup a server
you can use node or php
