C before C++, C#, Java

In what extend is useful and effective to learn C-family languages, such as C++, C# and Java after delving into C programming language? Please, share your opinion.

There is little usage of C these days as C++ can do everything it provides. The only time it makes sense to use C is in tight memory limits where C++ libraries take too much room. Therefore, learning C isn't really needed. Knowing C++, you could figure out C quickly, if you ever got stuck needing it.

Bekzod Daniyarov The order you learn those languages is not important. If want to learn or need Java or another language, you can just start with that language. I do not believe Java is part of the C langs. I believe it was inspired, but, not developed from C like the others. Feel free to check the oracle site for details.

Categories C: OS programming, very VERY professional programs C++: can be used for everything C#: video games, works better with Unity Java: not exactly in the C-family, but developed from it. Java is easier than the languages mentioned above, and also general-purpose, like C++
