What can i do with a terminal emulator?

Hi, i just recently downloaded a terminal emulator but dont have that much idea on what can i do with it😁,can anyone provide me an insight about it.like can i make a program with it.

yes i'd downloaded and im trying it and still confused with the commands cant run any programs other than lua 😁 ,thank you very much for informations that you gave 「ＨＡＰＰＹ ＴＯ ＨＥＬＰ」 😝👍
