Both MySQL & PostgreSQL have good markets, both can be used for web & desktop programming so yes, that's good to learn : )

Deadpool😎honestly I'm not a data analyst nor am I statistics analyst, but both MySQL & PostgreSQL are DBMS and are used to manipulate data, so I guess it can be used for the data storage, and for the analysis you can implement the logics in a program.

Usefulness in data/statistical analysis depends on the type of data you're looking to analyze. MySQL and PostgreSQL are both good for tabular data (as is any other SQL-based database management system). If you want a non-tabular data model, you can look into NoSQL.
