Prerequisites to any kind Of programming?

I was told Mathematics is a needed skill in Programming, exactly what level of Mathematics is needed?

And assuming I wanted to make a game that was as realistic as real life(conforms to physics, Chemistry, Science, etc) would I require a thorough understanding of those too?

For programming, what you've mentioned would merely add to your advantage instead of being a must-have.
