Can someone explain this

I started learning python because everyone said it is an important language to learn. But I just feel like I’m learning math. What can I actually use this for

Learning Python can become handy if you decide to venture the data analytics world. Python will let you do complex computations and use advanced machine learning algorithms in a snap :)

yes c++ or c# Buy a microbit and go to mbed for some projects. https://www.mbed.com/en/ It is a good start. Also Python with numpy is not bad.

I use it for FEM analysis, for example. Or for the optimisation of wing structure for aircraft. I also use it to analyse the performance of aerofoils for wings by running external programmed with Python. I believe you can also use it for gaming if that is more your cup of tea.

Well those are more efficient I believe, but often engineers write in Python because it is easier and then IT experts will convert to other languages. So Python is good for it, if you can do both, even better I guess.

No problem, keep on learning and good luck with Mechatronics, a very interesting discipline ;)
