question from a dedicated newbie..

hello everyone, i am new to programming...and there are so many languages i can learn from. I am still studying in high school, i want to create games and software and make it as a profession when i grow up. so about 10 years from now which language might still be viable and in demand in the market if i wanna be someone like a software application engineer or a game developer. (i was thinking of c++ or java?)

Games and Software? Well, C++ is definitely very good for that. As C++ can be used to develope on all platforms, it is widely used, and commonly supported. Software is also made with C/C++ and therefore is exactly what you wanted. However, when you are a professional game developer, you will probably not code it line by line. You'll code here and there, but for the rendering, motion, graphics, etc. you'll probably want to use a game engine, like Unity or UE. I wish you luck for the future!
