Python Genes Searching Code

Question

I want to write a python code to search for genes in a genome sequence in two reading frames, forward and reverse. The length should be divisible by 3 and the gene must be found between a start and stop codon.

I just need a sample code on how I can implement this, since am a newbie in programming.

Since you're a newbie, I recommend you to learn python first, start the project at least and then ask for help when stuck.

Nomeh, I have some basic lessons in Python.
However, I was debating whether I would use Regular expressions or algorithms.

Would you be able to give a sketch of what a program would be like so I can take it from there.
