Do you Sololearners tell people at your school or workplace that you are on Sololearn?

Believe it not ~ I made a new years resolution as a break from internet marketing to return to my roots as a computer programming. Of course I am very passionate about programming and find it actually relaxing ~

By the way ~ yes many of my peers , colleagues, and clients on LinkedIn know I'm also on Sololearn...

I tell people far and wide.
Reason:
I think the way sololearn approaches teaching basic programming is much better than anything at current school curriculums of any level.

Yes, I do.

I'm basically gambling that I'm enough of an influencer in these spheres that it will help increase the value of SoloLearn's certifications. People who are exclusively professional programmers may or may not think very highly of the SoloLearn platform (if they've even heard of it), but people who are on the outskirts of that group -- e.g. roles that support development teams, being the one technical person among all the non-technical people in a paperwork intensive industry, etc. -- can make a difference here and experience advantages in their jobs/careers.

Many of the developers I work with know of SoloLearn only because of me sharing about my involvement. However, none of them have joined or have an interest in joining a learning community. TBH... I'm a relatively rare type when it comes to being a mentor both online and IRL as an experienced software engineer.

I'm certainly not embarrassed to share my involvement in SoloLearn.

No, because I'm not in an IT related environment, most people around me uses IT products just for fun, games, messaging, social medias etc. I just think it's pointless trying to bring coding stuffs up on the table, no one is interested, or so it seems to me : )

Mike Bruh... I can so relate as well.

My wife and I host Christmas dinner for both sides of our families each year and I know all about needing to sneak away from the crowd to reset and continue on with being a host.

Yes. I feel much like Prometheus, bringing fire ... but to penguins -- which, I've found, (serendipitously,) happen to have no particular fear of humans. In fact, they are much more social in that they will not hesitate to approach humans. They have expressed a particular fondness for Linux, so I had to leave my gaming laptop behind. Are the Australian penguins similar, Mona Lisa?

I told my boss about the app because he wants to understand more about what I do lol ... He pretty much just takes me at my word and I told him that if I were any other person then that could be dangerous and that he should be at least a little familiar with the code I'm writing.

I'm an experienced dev and I only joined SL after finding the app when searching for something to pass the time when visiting my in-laws. I like solitude and there's only so much socializing I can handle.

Yes, I do but at the right time, like when I answer someone's question about programming or fix their code(most of the time by putting missing ";") and they ask me "from where did you learned that ?"
I proudly say that I learned it from sololearn 😎

And yes, as I don't use any social networking app that exist in this world(yes, you read it right) so the only way to contact me online is through sololearn apart from calling me, so I have to tell this to everyone so that they can contact me.
