anaconda is great if you need all that libs and tools for scipy. otherwise there are traditional way of ide, where PyCharm may be the most packed. Newer way is light weigut editors, like Sublime, Visual StudiovCode or Atom. They all have huge numbers of Py plaging with any imaginwble functionality

Thanks a lot bro. I have downloaded Atom on my windows 10 64bits computer but it tells me it's not compatible. Which of them is more straight forward? I also downloaded Anaconda but whenever I run the software it crashes. Had to uninstall immediately

Atom, VS Code and everything Anacond-ish totally free forever. PyCharm has community edition, also free for most parties(subject to check) and Sublime is relatively commercial, it will ask to buy license, but not very often however. Actually you can start installing first two, they both supported by Huge community, and both was made as free Sublime, which in turn mimics great CodeMate and supports CM file formats, namely language packs, color schemas ets

for windows i guess ms visual studio code must be perfect, but look, go mint/ubuntu/debian linux for all coding activity as all that node.js, ruby, android, go, and sure Python was made of this, and most impottant you will need bash console to talk to clouds, frameworks cli etc. not cheat yourself with gui, left games on xbox )
