What are the criteria for selecting the code for the day?
I searched in asked questions, but did not find a suitable post. What could it be ? The total number of likes or can be the number of likes in a day

Roman Khristoforov You cannot say that the post is a garbage. Go through "every answer" in that post, "every". See @Andrew's linked code there. And @Hatsy's answer ultimately tells that there's no criteria known as of yet. I know it's too long to read, and hard to understand, though :)
PS. The SKILL of the user makes a big impact. Undoudtedly, your interaction with other users also plays a big role.

Doesn't these threads help you out?
(I guess the COTD is now selected on two basis: • If your code is really worthy of being the COTD • If you're a beginner, and made a few good beginner codes. That's just for motivation. THE REAL CRITERIA IS MENTIONED NOWHERE)

Well, I don't know for sure, but it is obvious that the number of upvotes is important. The quicker the code gets upvoted, the more favourised you are to have a COTD.
All in all, usually COTD is not always the best code, but the code whose author has many followers and like-stormers.😡

Dev what you wrote in your post, and what I read in the post on the first link contain information based on the assumption. The second post is garbadge, I read it.
So far, the only assumption is the number of likes in a short period of time. And it all depends mainly on the number of subscribers, and not the skill of a person or the practical value of written code. As someone already said, like-stormers are the most important
