What is this unsubscribe message?

I just signed up to solo learn and I received a welcome email. At the end there was a message saying if you want to unsubscribe click here. I accidentally clicked it. I want to ask if this was indeed part of the welcome email and it was legit or it was an unsafe link.

You will see this option in majority of mails at bottom.

It simply means that you dont want to receive any further mails from that particular recipients.

The Unsubscribe link is a common option available nowadays, clicking on which will provide you the ability to stop receiving similar messages from the sender in future. If you have accidentally unsubscribed, but would still like to receive such emails, you will have to look for a way to re-subscribe.
