Hello I’m currently a Computer science major student! I was wondering of all programs what I could pick up and learn and possibly use to work part-time. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!

It really depends on what your goals are. Do you want to do web development, or do you want to create desktop apps, or mobile apps? Which platform do you wish to develop on?

If you do not have an aim in mind, just go for any general purpose programming language. Algorithms are independent of language, so don't worry about selecting the "correct" one. Just go with what is comfortable for you.
