Will JSON replace XML, especially in the area of messaging because it is more compact?

XML is useful in other applications, for examples to define layouts of app designs, keeping datasets of books in a library, readily available to display processed data by XSLT. XML and XSLT are more advanced then HTML/CSS, which been widely used in many applications.

XML and JSON can be used differently. Sometimes XML cannot be used and sometimes the opposite. I summarize my point that JSON cannot replace XML since both are used in different places.
