Why people challenge me in languages I don't know?

Question

Every now and then I receive challenges from people for a duel in JS or C++. I haven't learnt those yet and I think there is no point in me taking the gauntlet up. Should it work this way?
By the way, if I "Decline", I'm not hurting anyone's exp, right?

Because they cannot know that you didnt know the courses, and 'random opponent' is an option :P

Dont mind them, just decline and/or ignore, noxp involved

Right. Anyhow this 'random' should be limited to only those that took (at least opened) a particular course. You chose your weapon before you challenge others.

@Ken Oh, you can. Look at your Python score for example ;)

You could always try to do it, but it would be risky. Instead, just decline the challenge or quickly learn that language you don't know and maybe if the challenge isn't expired, you could take that challenge.

If you decline, you're XP wont go away, neither will the challenger's XP.

It's not a big deal, I won in challenges, even without knowing the language. Anyway, I think the system doesn't look up what you have completed before sending in challenges. And I strongly doubt your rejecting challenges costs them xp, in fact, I don't even think there's a way to lose xp with challenges.

Oh, how fun! anyway, I didn't even touch php here on sololearn, but I'd like to get challenged in it, so I wouldn't want an automatic system. I'd prefer it if they allowed you to choose what you're accepting challenges of.
