it's better use python or php for a web server with sql?

PHP is more popular for web, heck it's made for web. But Python has it's own advantages, and many think PHP is icky to code with.

Oh, most websites use I think PHP 5.3 , which will be dropped for security support. Meaning most of the web might be vulnerable to attacks! That's kinda unrelated though, latest version of PHP fixes that.
