What is Monty Python ?

Monty Python is shorthand for the commedy show "Monty Python and the Flying Circus", which I believe aired on CBS. (Not entirely sure about that one.) What does this have to do with anything to do with Python? The creator of Python was a big fan of that show is my understanding. So, now that show is a programming language.
