I buy a book for python. Is it helpful?

When it comes to books, it is all based on the learner for whether or not it is helpful. Everyone learns in different ways, with some people finding it easier to learn from examples or just testing things out, while other may find it more helpful to learn from text and books. Whether or not getting a book will help is all based on your personality and how you learn, so to answer your question, it can be helpful to some and probably not as helpful to others.
