PHP issues

Question

Hello everyone, I am in the middle of the PHP class and I wanted to start performing my first PHP website but I cannot understand how it works... When I'm in sololearn everything works fine, but I don't see how using a PHP tag can help me with setting my website dynamic... And when I'm in Repl.it PHP programs are just a console like a server and I can't use the classic html tag, why ?

Does somebody can explain me how PHP works ? And how should I use PHP ?

Then, if I've completely understand, when I create my browser, I create a server and a bunch of html file. When someone went to my website, he request me one of those html file which is a webpage, the server send it as all website but, when client and server are talking, the PHP tag allows me to directly talk with the server. Am I right ? Thanks again <3

If it isn't too much, does you have some sort of codes examples ? I think it could make all clear, beside, I don't see how to program a server side code...

To finish, what do you mean by "You create your browser" ? Do you mean the html file ?
